About Me
Hi, I'm Maria.
If you had told me years ago that I would one day be communicating with animals and supporting people through intuitive healing work, I probably would have smiled politely and changed the subject.
And yet, when I look back, the signs were always there.
As a child, I was endlessly curious about spirituality. Growing up in Hawaii, I attended both Catholic Mass and Sunday prayers at a Thai Buddhist temple with my mother. For me, it was never about religion itself—it was about the energy I felt within those spaces. I remember feeling a sense of peace, wonder, and connection. Looking back, those moments were some of my happiest childhood memories.
I was always a sensitive child and often had experiences that I couldn't fully explain. I could usually be found wandering in nature, spending time with animals, or getting lost in my own imagination. I felt a deep connection to the natural world and sensed that there was far more to life than what could be seen with the physical eye.
Life eventually took me on many different paths. I built a career as an international model, got married, lived in Tokyo for 12+ years, became a business owner, traveled the world, and experienced many of life's beautiful and challenging lessons. Throughout it all, my love for animals and my curiosity about healing, spirituality, and personal growth remained a constant thread.
But it was the loss of my two beloved toy poodles, Stefy and Frankie, that truly changed the course of my life.
They passed away just three months apart, and the grief was unlike anything I had ever experienced…worse than getting a divorce! Like so many people who have loved an animal deeply, I found myself longing for one more conversation, one more moment of connection. I would have given ANYTHING for one more day with them.
What began as a search to heal my broken heart became a calling.
Their passing led me to dedicate myself to animal communication, energy work, and emotional healing. In many ways, Stefy and Frankie continue to be two of my greatest teachers. They helped open a door that changed my life forever.
Today, I combine intuitive communication, medical intuition, energy work, emotional trauma release, and chakra balancing to help both animals and humans navigate life's challenges with greater peace, clarity, and connection.
Animals have taught me that so much of what they experience goes far beyond behavior alone. Beneath the surface are emotions, relationships, past experiences, physical discomforts, and energetic patterns that often deserve to be seen, heard, and understood. Creating a safe space for those messages to come forward is one of the greatest honors of my work.
I am especially passionate about supporting animals and their families during times of transition, including behavioral concerns, emotional stress, illness, and end-of-life journeys. These experiences can be some of the most difficult and tender moments we face. My intention is to help bring greater understanding, comfort, and connection so families can move forward with more peace and confidence in their decisions.
I also work with people seeking emotional, energetic, and spiritual support on their healing journey. Whether through intuitive energy work, emotional release, or energetic balancing, my goal is always the same: to create a compassionate space where deeper healing and transformation can unfold naturally.
When I'm not working with clients, you'll usually find me spending time with my dogs or simply appreciating the quiet moments.
My role isn't to fix anyone.
Rather, I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to reconnect with ourselves, with each other, and with the wisdom that already exists within us.
It is truly an honor to walk alongside both animals and humans on that journey.
With gratitude,
Maria
With my current loves, Harry (L) and Sally (R) — yes, just like the romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally.
We found Harry wandering on our street in Venice, California. At the time, we already had five dogs and certainly weren't planning to adopt another. But when Harry met Sally—who we had adopted from China—they formed an instant bond.
Even though my hands were already full - Stefy was going through cancer at the time - who was I to stand in the way of true love?
Over the years, Harry has blossomed into one of the most soulful, loving dogs I've ever known. Bringing him into our family was an unexpected gift, and I'm so grateful we took a chance on him. And, of course, Sally has remained the eternal angel and resident jokester of the house.
My original soul dogs who started this entire journey, Stefy (L) and Frankie (R).
Stefy was 17 years old when she passed, and Frankie was 16. We shared a full life filled with love, adventures, and beautiful memories.
From the very beginning, I made a promise to myself: when the day came for them to leave this world, I wanted to know that I had loved them fully and lived life with them without regrets. I spoiled them the best I could, cherished every moment, and remained by their side throughout every twist and turn in life.
